Great to meet you!

Hello,

I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Master of Social Work degree with over 30 years of experience in the mental Health field, and over 13 years experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working with adults, children, and families. I have a passion for helping others that experience trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, and life's transitions. I look forward to working with you.

My approach to therapy

I am interactive and use an eclectic approach. My treatment approach provides encouragement, support, education to develop coping skills to work through presenting issues, reduce behaviors/ symptoms, and build on strengths. I specialize in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. In addition, I use cognitive behavioral, reality, and solution focused therapies and other evidenced based practices tailored to meet each individual's specific needs.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a safe and non-judgmental environment. Clients will learn how to develop coping skills through psychoeducation and understanding/ identifying the impact of their thoughts, behaviors and feelings. My goal is to develop good rapport and gain knowledge of their past, present, and potential future to assist clients with successful outcomes.
