Great to meet you!
Hi, I’m Misty Young, and I’m glad you’re here. I am a licensed mental health professional with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Michigan University. My clinical background includes experience in both private practice and child welfare, allowing me to work with individuals of all ages as well as families navigating complex emotional and relational challenges.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore patterns, build insight, and develop effective tools for meaningful change. I work with individuals, adolescents, and families, recognizing that growth often happens both within ourselves and within the systems we’re part of.
Clinical areas of focus include:
- Parenting skills and improving family communication
- Child development, emotional regulation, and behavior support
- Adolescents and young adults navigating life transitions
- Co-parenting, blended family adjustment, and relationship dynamics
- Anxiety, depression, and stress-related concerns
- Mind-body connection, mindfulness, and overall emotional wellbeing
I believe that healing is a whole-person process, and therapy can be a place to reconnect with clarity, resilience, and self-compassion. My goal is to support you in understanding your experiences, strengthening your internal resources, and creating healthier patterns in your life and relationships.
Whether you’re seeking individual support, guidance for your family, or help navigating a particular season of stress or change, I’m honored to partner with you on your path toward growth and balance.
