Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, including therapy, child welfare, and foster care. I specialize in helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, whether it’s managing anger, coping with anxiety or depression, healing from trauma and neglect, building self-esteem, or learning to manage psychosis and stress.

As a proud millennial therapist, I understand that healing doesn’t look the same for everyone. My approach is person-centered, culturally sensitive, and grounded in meeting you exactly where you are. I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where you can be your full self and feel empowered to grow into the version of you that you deserve to be.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Johnson C. Smith University and my Master’s in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. Beyond my clinical work, I’m a family-oriented, outgoing person who enjoys reading, trying new experiences, staying active, and yes—finding joy in a little retail therapy.

If you’re looking for a therapist who will truly listen, support you with compassion, and challenge you when needed—I’d be honored to walk this journey with you.

My approach to therapy

Through a person-centered lens, I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of my clients—because I truly believe that one size does not fit all. I integrate a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Client-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based practices, and Trauma-Focused care.

From the very first session, I focus on building trust, creating a safe and judgment-free space, and helping you feel seen and heard. I meet you where you are—whether you’re ready to dive deep or just starting to open up. I use a warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative style to ensure therapy feels approachable and meaningful, not clinical or intimidating.

To keep you engaged, I make sure our work is both relevant and empowering. We’ll celebrate progress, reflect on challenges, and I’ll offer honest, compassionate feedback along the way. I also incorporate creative tools and real-life strategies that fit your lifestyle, so you leave each session with something to carry forward.

Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel connected—not just in therapy, but to yourself, your goals, and the life you want to create.

What you can expect from me

With my supportive, empowering, and evidence-based approach, clients often walk away with:

  • Greater emotional awareness and the ability to recognize and name their feelings
  • Healthier coping strategies for managing stress, anxiety, anger, and overwhelm
  • Improved communication and boundary-setting skills in relationships
  • A stronger sense of self-worth and confidence in decision-making
  • Clarity around personal goals and a renewed sense of purpose
  • Tools for managing negative thought patterns and building healthier habits
  • A safe space to explore past pain and begin the healing process at their own pace
  • Support for navigating life transitions, whether it’s healing from trauma, adjusting to independence, or managing mental health symptoms

Most importantly, clients can expect to feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling a little lighter, a little stronger, and a lot more in control of your journey.
