Great to meet you!

Anxiety, depression, ADHD, and chronic stress can affect nearly every part of life—from your energy and focus to your confidence, relationships, and sense of well-being. You may appear to be managing on the outside while privately feeling overwhelmed, emotionally depleted, unfocused, stuck, or unsure how to move forward.

  • >

My practice helps adults age 25 and older better understand what may be contributing to their symptoms and develop a treatment plan that fits their needs, preferences, and goals. Care is personalized and considers the whole person—not simply a diagnosis.

>

I am a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Adult Health Nurse Practitioner with two master’s degrees and more than 30 years of healthcare experience. My combined psychiatric and adult medical background allows me to consider mental health within the broader context of physical health, medications, sleep, lifestyle, and overall functioning.

>

My practice is intentionally inclusive and nonjudgmental, welcoming people across diverse identities, sexual orientations, backgrounds, and consensual relationship structures. Care is grounded in respect for your values, experiences, and the life you want to create.

>

What I value most about this work is helping people gain clarity about what may be holding them back and create a path forward toward meaningful, lasting improvement

My approach to therapy

My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, integrative and evidence-based, with an emphasis on truly understanding the full picture of what is affecting you—not simply identifying symptoms and moving on. I take into account how your emotional health, sleep, physical health, medications, stress, relationships, lifestyle, and daily demands may be interacting and contributing to how you feel and function.

>

Treatment is individualized and may include medication management, psychotherapy, education, behavioral strategies, and practical changes that support your overall well-being. When medication is appropriate, I focus on careful, purposeful prescribing—using the least burdensome effective approach whenever possible, minimizing unnecessary treatment, monitoring closely for side effects, and adjusting care based on your response.

>

Just as important, I want you to understand your treatment plan and feel genuinely included in the decisions we make together. I will explain what I am seeing clinically, why I am recommending a particular approach, what alternatives may be available, and what we will monitor over time. Your questions, preferences, concerns, and goals are not secondary to the process—they are an important part of it.

>

The goal is care that feels both clinically sophisticated and deeply personal: treatment that is tailored to you, respectful of your values, and focused not only on reducing symptoms, but on helping you feel more steady, capable, and empowered to move toward the life you want.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is designed to give us the time and space to understand what has been going on, what you would like to change, and what may be contributing to how you are feeling and functioning. We will review your current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, previous treatment experiences, medications, sleep, stressors, daily functioning, and other areas of your life that may be relevant to your care.

>

You can expect a thoughtful, unhurried conversation in which you are listened to, respected, and actively included. I will share my clinical impressions, explain what I believe may be contributing to your symptoms, and discuss treatment options that fit your needs, preferences, and goals.

>

There is no expectation that every decision has to be made immediately. When appropriate, we can take the time needed to gather additional information, consider options, and make thoughtful choices together.

>

My goal is for you to leave the first session with greater clarity, a sense of direction, and confidence that your care is being built with you—not simply prescribed to you.
