Great to meet you!

I’m not your typical therapist, and this is not your typical therapy experience. I believe in meeting clients where they are and creating a space that feels supportive, honest, and judgment free because we all carry life differently. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and have over 15 years of experience in social services, along with 19 years in federal service, which helped me better understand stress, burnout, life transitions, and navigating complex systems. My approach focuses on the whole person, using Narrative Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and CBT to help clients better understand themselves and grow through life’s challenges. Above all, I want clients to know they do not have to navigate healing alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, honest, and centered around meeting clients where they are. I primarily use Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Person Centered techniques, while also incorporating other modalities when beneficial to support each client’s individual needs and growth. I believe therapy is a partnership if you show up willing to do the work, I’m going to show up right alongside you and support you through the process. Healing takes time, and many of the things we carry did not happen overnight, so I believe in giving ourselves grace while still doing the work intentionally. Together, we’ll unpack those experiences, build healthier patterns, and work toward growth one step at a time.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a relaxed, welcoming, and judgment free environment where they are encouraged to simply be themselves. During the first one to two sessions, we’ll explore whether we are a good fit for each other because the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of the healing journey. Whether you are coming to therapy for something heavy or simply trying to navigate everyday life, it’s important that you feel comfortable, supported, and understood. It is equally important that I feel confident in my ability to help guide you toward the next steps in your growth and healing. Above all, I want clients to feel free to show up authentically, unapologetically, and without pressure to have everything figured out.
