Great to meet you!

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to learn about my offerings. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Bowie State University in 2019 and my Master's degree from University of Baltimore in Applied Psychology in 2023. My area of expertise is complex trauma but I also have a passion for working with clients who have challenges with relationship issues and anxiety. I offer an integrative and holistic approach that pulls from a combination of trauma-informed Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and mindfulness-based techniques. Somatic healing, yoga, and breathwork are also included in my work when relevant.

My approach to therapy

My style is gentle, flexible and collaborative. My top priority is creating a safe therapeutic relationship that invites clients to be their authentic self. I listen, hold space and offer insights to help clients arrive at their own conclusions. I will challenge my clients when necessary and clinically appropriate, however, I see my role as a supportive witness to your experience. I invite clients to openly share how their therapy experience is going so we can make adjustments as needed. I recognize that therapy is hard work; due to life circumstances and the sensitive nature of this work, every session might need to look a little different–that’s okay! I am a therapist that flows with your rhythm. In my room, you have full permission to laugh, cry, curse, and express the wide range of emotions we experience as humans. I’m here for it all!

What you can expect from me

During your first appointment with me, you can expect to have an opportunity to express what is happening during this season of your life. It is also a chance for you to ask me any questions that may help you determine if I'm the right fit for you. My intention is to discuss how we can work together to help you reconnect and remember the parts of yourself that may have been forgotten or pushed side. In our first few appointments, my intention is to gain a snapshot of your history and highlight things you're hoping to work on or work through.
