Great to meet you!

I'm Myliekia Francois, a Licensed Master Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California (USC, 2018). I've spent over seven years working across diverse settings, and the through-line in all of it has been this: I genuinely love showing up for people. I'm warm, direct, and deeply committed to meeting each client exactly where they are. I specialize in working with individuals from multicultural and diverse backgrounds, and I'm particularly passionate about supporting people navigating adjustment challenges, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship stress, and the pressures of work and life transitions. I believe healing looks different for everyone — and I'm here for your version of it.

My approach to therapy

My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, but it never feels cookie-cutter. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness-Based approaches, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), blending these tools to fit what you actually need. I'm collaborative, curious, and client-centered to my core. I operate from the belief that you are the expert on your own life; my job is to walk alongside you, ask the right questions, and help you access the clarity and strength that's already within you. Think of me as a co-pilot: I'm in the passenger seat, but I'm fully present for every twist and turn.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about you feeling safe, heard, and unhurried. We'll spend time getting to know each other; I'll ask about what's brought you to therapy, what's been weighing on you, and what you're hoping to feel or experience differently. There's no pressure to have it all figured out. I'll listen without judgment, reflect back what I'm hearing, and we'll begin to sketch out what our work together could look like. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling like you've been truly seen, and maybe even a little lighter than when you walked in.
