Great to meet you!

As a therapist, I love helping clients find their healing and balance in their lives. My approach is grounded in compassion, respect, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges that come with life. Whether you’re struggling with memories that feel hard to face or the weight of stress, I strive to provide a space that feels grounded and empowering where you can begin to reconnect with yourself and get your sense of peace.

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina. I graduated in May 2017 from University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) with my masters in social work and I also have my bachelors in social work degree from Methodist University that I earned in 2009. In addition I earned the certificate of a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and I am certified through NASW as a clinical supervisor to provide supervision to LCSW-As.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, couples, families and individuals. I have career experiences as a Peer Support Specialist in Community Mental Health, as a Family Advocate at Head Start/NC Pre-k, a Child Abuse and Neglect Investigator in North Carolina Child Protective Services, an intern conducting psychiatric evaluations, a Residential Counselor at an emergency youth shelter, a Team Lead in Community Based Mental Health with Intensive In Home Services, and currently I provide therapy to veterans, active duty, and their family members.

I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA -Go Steelers! I enjoy spending time with my family playing board games, putting together puzzles, being outside, enjoying a good campfire, and cuddling with my pets. My hobbies include searching for beach glass and creating art.

My approach to therapy

My work is informed by evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Nightmares (CBT-N) to help clients restore healthy sleep and a sense of safety at night.

Currently, I’m pursuing certification as an Expressive Arts Therapist (EXAT) to integrate creative and experiential approaches into trauma recovery and emotional regulation. I believe healing is not one-size-fits-all, it’s a personal journey that can include words, movement, art, and moments of quiet reflection.

What you can expect from me

I strive to be an advocate for ending negetive mental health stigma and discrimination. I work hard to create a therapeutic environment without shame.
