Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Nancy—I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Rooted Resilience Psychiatry, where I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for adults. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, and life transitions. I also have a special interest in women’s mental health, understanding how hormonal, emotional, and environmental factors can shape wellbeing.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: every person carries resilience within them — sometimes it just needs room to take root. My goal is to create a space where that resilience can grow.

Outside of session, I enjoy creating patient resources, refining my practice’s brand identity, and advocating for equitable, accessible mental health care. I also recharge through long walks by the beach, music that helps me reset, and quiet reading—practices that help me bring calm and presence into my work.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to you.

I want you to feel comfortable being yourself—no need to filter or “get it right.” I combine clinical expertise with curiosity, presence, and deep respect for your lived experience. We’ll explore your history, environment, identity, and goals to create a care plan that actually fits your life.

If medication is part of our plan, I guide the process carefully, explaining options clearly and involving you in every decision. I also practice with an integrative, culturally responsive lens, considering the full context of your life. You are never reduced to a diagnosis here.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a relaxed conversation focused on understanding you and your goals. We’ll discuss what’s been happening, what brought you in, and any questions you have, moving at a pace that feels comfortable.

You can expect clarity, empathy, and collaboration. Together, we’ll outline next steps—whether that includes medication, lifestyle strategies, or ongoing support—so you leave with direction and a sense of being understood.

My aim is to help you feel heard, grounded, and supported from the very start.

If you’re ready to start a path toward greater balance and understanding, I’d be honored to support you.
