Great to meet you!

Let me tell you a little bit about my background!

I graduated from Denver Seminary with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018. I expanded my training beyond a strong clinical base through the Trauma Informed Narrative therapy certificate at the Allender Center in Seattle, as well as being trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) through EMDR of the Rockies in Denver.

Specializing in trauma-informed care and cultural competency, I've worked in a variety of settings around the world. I had the opportunity to teach workshops in trauma and resiliency through an international university in Eastern Europe, as well as provided therapy for refugees and asylees from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iraq and various parts of Africa.

I've also worked in a residential treatment program for women and children in Denver and has worked with a variety of individuals and couples through private practice and contracting since 2018.

My approach to therapy

While I adapt my therapy to my client's desires and goals, I especially love working with individuals in understanding their personal identity and how their life story has shaped them into who they are today through understanding family of origin issues, attachment, the impact of shame and body image and rooting into their truest identity in connection with the Source of all life.

Ultimately I work collaboratively with you to reach your desired outcome, while also getting to the root of symptoms. I truly believe that you are not defined by your diagnosis, but that symptoms are an indicator of something much deeper needing to be addressed and faced. I will gently lead you toward greater self awareness, and build your courage to face your deeper inner self.

What you can expect from me

Initially, my desire is for you to feel deeply seen, heard and understood. In our first session we will collaborate together to identify your needs, desires and create goals for our therapy together.

Over time my clients walk away from sessions:

  • Experiencing growth in deeper self-understanding and self-awareness, and ability to name emotions.
  • Helpful tools to practice in daily life through mindfulness and somatic practices, reflection exercises, and grounding techniques.
  • Understanding the root causes of the surface symptoms.
  • Deeper connection to self, others, and to God.
  • Ultimately greater wholeness and freedom!
