Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome!

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over a decade of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s ups and downs. My goal is to provide a safe and compassionate space where you feel truly heard and supported as we work toward lasting change.

Throughout my career in hospital, community, and military settings, I’ve learned that every person's story is completely unique. I tailor our time together to your specific needs, specializing in:

  • Trauma & Healing: As a certified EMDR therapist, I help you process painful past experiences so you can feel more grounded and present today.
  • Relationships & Family: Rebuilding trust, improving communication, and navigating parenting or marital stressors.
  • Military Life: Supporting active-duty service members, veterans, and their families through the unique challenges of military transitions.
  • Substance Use: Offering gentle, dual-diagnosis care for navigating mental health and recovery.

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology (MFT) from Argosy University and am fully licensed in both Washington and Hawaii.

Taking that first step toward therapy can feel a little daunting, but you don’t have to walk this path alone. Whether you want to heal from the past or simply find better ways to handle daily stress, I’m here to walk alongside you. Let’s connect and build a brighter path forward together!

My approach to therapy

My style is collaborative, warm, and real. You are the expert on your life; my role is to helping you untangle complex challenges in a safe environment.

How We Work Together

We start by looking at the whole picture—your history, your current environment, and your natural strengths. My practice is grounded in measurement-informed care, meaning we don't just talk; we track your progress to ensure tangible, positive shifts in your daily life.

Specialized Focus Areas

With over a decade of experience, I specialize in:

  • Trauma Resolution: Utilizing EMDR, TF-CBT, and CPT to help you safely process painful past experiences so they lose their power over your present.
  • Relationship & Family Dynamics: Helping couples and families break through communication barriers, rebuild trust, and navigate modern parenting or marital stress.
  • Military Lifestyle Support: Deep firsthand expertise helping active-duty service members, veterans, and their families navigate deployment cycles and civilian transitions.
  • Recovery & Crisis Intervention: Providing compassionate, dual-diagnosis care for substance use and specialized support for healing from relational trauma or domestic violence.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about taking a deep breath and setting the foundation. It is completely normal to feel a bit nervous, so my primary goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment where you can share your story at your own pace.

The initial meeting is a collaborative conversation rather than a rigid interview. Here is exactly what we will cover:

1. Getting to Know You (The Big Picture)

We will explore what brings you to therapy right now.

2. Setting Your Personal Goals

We don’t just talk; we collaborate on a roadmap. Together, we will define what meaningful progress looks like for you.

3. Laying the Groundwork for Healing

Whether we determine that your path forward includes targeted trauma work (like EMDR or Cognitive Processing Therapy), navigating relationship dynamics, or learning practical tools for daily stress, you will leave the first session with a clear understanding of our game plan.

The most important outcome of our first session is for you to leave feeling heard and confident that you have a dedicated individual walking alongside you on this journey.
