Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Nataliya Allen, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in New Hampshire. I earned my Master’s degree from Fordham University and have worked with adolescents, adults, and families across a variety of clinical settings.

I work especially well with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and the challenges that can come with feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply exhausted from trying to hold everything together.

I’m warm, genuine, and down-to-earth. You won’t find a cold or overly clinical atmosphere in my sessions. I believe therapy works best when you can show up exactly as you are - without worrying about saying the “right” thing or being judged. My goal is for you to feel understood while also helping you discover practical ways to make life feel more manageable and meaningful.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered, collaborative, and practical. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and therapy should never feel like someone sitting across from you telling you how you are supposed to think or live.

At the same time, I don’t believe therapy has to be just talking about the same problems week after week. We’ll explore what is underneath the patterns that keep showing up, identify what is and isn’t working, and experiment with strategies that actually fit you and your life.

I draw from CBT, Motivational Interviewing, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness, and experiential interventions. I tailor our work to the individual rather than expecting the individual to fit a particular therapeutic model. Sometimes therapy is deep and emotional; sometimes it is practical, creative, or even humorous. There is room for all of it.

What you can expect from me

You do not need to arrive at your first session knowing exactly what to say, where to begin, or even what you want therapy to look like. We can figure that out together.

Our first session is about getting to know you—not just your symptoms or diagnosis, but what has been happening in your life, what matters to you, what feels difficult right now, and what you would like to be different. I’ll ask questions, but this isn’t an interrogation, and you won’t be expected to tell your entire life story before you’re ready.

Many clients tell me they are surprised by how comfortable and natural our conversations feel. That is important to me. Therapy can involve difficult work, but the relationship itself should feel safe, genuine, and human. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling understood, a little less alone with what you’ve been carrying, and with a sense that there is a path forward.
