Great to meet you!

Welcome to AQZA Mental Health Haven PLLC. I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) holding a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). My journey into psychiatric nursing grew from a deep belief that healthcare should treat the whole person not just a list of symptoms with warmth, dignity, and real human connection.

Education & Background

Building on my foundation as a Registered Nurse and my advanced clinical training as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, my background spans comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, evidence-based psychopharmacology, and supportive therapeutic techniques.

Specialization & Populations Served

I specialize in working with adolescents 12+ and adults who are navigating:

Anxiety & Panic Disorders: Tailored treatment for generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic.

Mood Disorders: Comprehensive care for Major Depressive Disorder and persistent mood fluctuations.

Burnout, Trauma & Life Transitions: Guidance through workplace stress, grief, and major personal adjustments.

My approach to therapy

My clinical approach is rooted in true partnership, clinical precision, and unhurried care. I believe effective mental health treatment is never one-size-fits-all. You bring the expertise of your lived experience, and I bring diagnostic clarity and evidence-based treatment options to help you regain balance and mental clarity.

How We Work Together:

Collaborative Decision-Making: We discuss treatment options together. You will always understand why a medication or strategy is recommended, including its benefits and potential side effects.

Integrative Care: Medication management is often most effective when paired with supportive therapeutic techniques, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies for daily life.

A Confidential, Safe Environment: I prioritize creating a warm, empathetic, and culturally responsive space where you feel fully validated, respected, and empowered at every step.

What you can expect from me

A Comfortable, Unhurried Evaluation (60 Minutes)

Your initial visit is a relaxed, comprehensive conversation designed to understand your story. We start by discussing what brought you to care, your immediate concerns, and how your current symptoms are affecting your day-to-day life, work, and relationships.

A Complete Health Picture

To form an accurate diagnostic foundation, we will review your general medical history, past mental health experiences, lifestyle factors, and any medications or treatments you have tried previously.

Clear Next Steps & Shared Goals

Before our session ends, we will collaboratively outline concrete goals for your care whether that involves starting a new medication regimen, optimizing an existing treatment plan, or building coping strategies. You will leave with a clear, clear-cut roadmap for your well-being, without ever feeling rushed.
