Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Nechama Rothkopf, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. With a strong clinical background and a passion for patient-centered treatment, I strive to support individuals through life’s challenges and help them achieve emotional wellness.

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University, graduating summa cum laude, and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New Jersey City University, where I was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.

Whether I’m working with individuals facing acute mental health crises or supporting patients through long-term healing journeys, I bring empathy, active listening, and a collaborative spirit to each session. I am especially dedicated to serving diverse populations and creating a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered.

If you’re looking for thoughtful, holistic mental health care tailored to your needs, I’d be honored to work with you on your path toward wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to mental health care is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe that each person brings a unique story, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

I work primarily with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, mood disorders, and stress-related challenges. My treatment style is grounded in evidence-based practices and guided by empathy and active listening.

In our work together, I may incorporate medication management when appropriate, alongside integrative strategies such as mindfulness and lifestyle adjustments. I aim to empower you to build resilience and feel more in control of your emotional and mental well-being. I’m here to help you move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

My primary goal is to support clients in achieving lasting emotional balance, improved daily functioning, and a deeper sense of self-awareness. I work with clients to set realistic, personalized goals.

I strive to create an environment that is safe, calm, and empowering, a space where you can show up as you are, without fear of judgment. I want you to feel comfortable expressing your thoughts and emotions openly, knowing that we’ll work together as a team to understand what’s going on and create a plan that fits your life.

Ultimately, I aim to help you build the skills, insight, and confidence you need to take control of your mental health and thrive.
