Great to meet you!

Welcome—I’m so glad you’re here. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with specialized experience in trauma, domestic violence, and women’s issues. I also work with men and have supported individuals from diverse backgrounds who are navigating painful, overwhelming, or traumatic life experiences.

My professional background includes working as an emergency department crisis clinician, as well as serving for seven years within a domestic violence agency. In that role, I provided support to women, men, and children in shelter settings, facilitated weekly support groups, and assisted individuals through a 24-hour crisis hotline. Prior to that, I spent more than 12 years advocating in the crisis field, standing alongside survivors in moments when safety, stabilization, and compassionate support were most needed.

I strive to bring empathy, insight, and a grounded presence into every session, creating a space where clients feel supported, respected, and understood.

My goal is to help survivors of abuse—and all clients, regardless of gender or background—find healing, regain a sense of safety, and develop the tools needed to move forward with strength and confidence.

If you are ready to begin your healing journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is a deeply personal and collaborative process—one that honors your unique experiences, strengths, and inner resilience. There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to healing, because every individual’s story and needs are different.

In our work together, you remain at the center of the process. Your values, goals, comfort level, and readiness will guide the direction and pace of therapy. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support, insight, and practical tools while empowering you to make choices that align with your growth and well-being.

Together, we will create a treatment approach tailored specifically to your needs and the challenges you want to address. I use an integrative and individualized style, drawing from different therapeutic approaches to best support you—whether you are healing from trauma, recovering from abuse, or seeking greater emotional balance and clarity.

My goal is to help you feel empowered, grounded, and confident in yourself and your ability to move forward. Therapy is not only about healing past wounds; it is also about strengthening your voice, building healthy boundaries, and creating a more fulfilling and meaningful future.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a therapeutic experience that is compassionate, supportive, and empowering. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more grounded, more self-aware, and better equipped to manage life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.

I take a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing the connection between mind, body, and spirit in the healing process. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Through active listening, thoughtful reflection, and authentic empathy, I work to ensure that your experiences are met with care and respect—never judgment or dismissal.

Because every individual’s journey is unique, I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet your specific needs and goals. I integrate a variety of evidence-based techniques and therapeutic tools while honoring your personal strengths, values, and lived experiences. My intention is that the insight, coping skills, and strategies developed in therapy become meaningful resources you can carry into your everyday life.

Above all, I believe therapy should be a collaborative process rooted in empowerment. Your voice, your pace, and your goals remain central to our work together, and I am committed to supporting your growth and healing every step of the way.
