Great to meet you!

My name is Nichole L. Blackmon, and I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University, with a clinical foundation rooted in Adlerian psychology, a holistic and goal-oriented approach that emphasizes understanding thoughts, behaviors, and life patterns while fostering meaningful change. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a humanistic, Person-Centered Therapy orientation to help clients build insight, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward balanced, authentic living. I specialize in working with children with ADHD and adults navigating life transitions, while also providing support for grief, depression, anxiety, and addiction through a compassionate, individualized approach.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is integrative. I create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered to explore their experiences. Through this approach, I help individuals develop practical coping strategies, gain insight, and navigate life transitions while working toward personal growth and emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to be a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where they feel safe to share openly at their own pace. I strive to create an encouraging and supportive environment built on trust, respect, and empathy. During this time, we will begin to explore your concerns, discuss your goals for counseling, and establish a collaborative foundation for our work together. My focus is on helping you feel heard, understood, and comfortable as we start your therapeutic journey.
