Great to meet you!

Healing isn't a path you need to walk alone; it's a collaborative journey where we will work together emerging from survival to discovering your path of purpose.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) in Michigan. My approach is rooted in the belief that you are unique, and your therapy should be too. Since 2022, I have specialized in outpatient substance use treatment, helping men and women navigate the intersection of recovery, trauma, and difficult relationship dynamics.

Beyond my clinical training at Divine Mercy University, I hold a Master’s degree in Philosophy. This background allows me to bring a distinct analytical lens to our sessions—using analogy, synthesis, and a focus on meaning to help you make sense of your story. I don’t just see symptoms; I see a person seeking a life of purpose.

My approach to therapy

I view myself as a guide accompanying you on a journey of discovery. Therapy is a partnership: I am here to learn from your unique lived experience while offering my clinical knowledge and support to help you move forward. My approach is Person-Centered, where I strive to be a non-judgmental mirror, validating your experience while helping you uncover the insights needed to increase clarity, confidence, and self-compassion. Though I recognize that therapy can be hard work, my goal is to ensure that work is hopeful and worthwhile.

I use a range of evidence-based tools tailored to help you overcome barriers and find your way forward:

  • EMDR & Trauma-Focused CBT: To process the past and find relief from the weight of trauma.
  • DBT-Informed Skills: I provide guidance in Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness to help you manage the "here and now" with practical coping tools.
  • CBT & Behavioral Activation: To reframe intrusive thoughts, understand how thoughts and emotions influence behaviors, and re-engage with a life of meaning.
  • Motivational Interviewing: To spark and sustain the internal drive for change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is focused on building a safe, supportive connection—the foundation of everything we do. You can expect a warm, empathetic environment where your perspective is the primary focus. Rather than rushing to untangle every challenge, we will move at your pace to ensure you feel heard and respected. This is always a space where you are encouraged to ask questions and voice concerns about the process. My goal is for you to leave our first hour feeling understood and hopeful, knowing you have a steady partner to help you navigate your concerns and move toward the goals that matter most to you.
