Great to meet you!

Hiya! I am a social worker by trade and education who is always working on getting a little closer to the best version of myself. Hopefully I can help you too. I really enjoy working with the more existential questions by way of Acceptance and Commitment therapy, but am equally happy to help people on their journey of healing from trauma, and improving mental health conditions like anxiety and depression.

My approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, incorporating Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.

My communication style is warm and direct. I will try to call your attention to the discrepancy between your goals and your behaviors and help you figure out how to remove obstacles. You should feel that I hold you in unconditional positive regard free from judgement.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will have a conversation with you to figure out what problem you are currently struggling with, how long it has been troubling you, and what your desired outcome is. We'll see if we're a good fit- and if it's not, I'll try to support you in figuring out what works better. After that first session, I'm open to working on whatever you feel comfortable bringing to the table.
