Great to meet you!

I believe that everyone has a story worth hearing and that meaningful change begins with connection, compassion, and understanding. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience in education and mental health, I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges, build resilience, and discover their strengths.

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and relationship-centered. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can be yourself. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, stress, grief, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, my goal is to walk alongside you as we work toward healing, growth, and a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered, strengths-based, and rooted in building genuine relationships. I believe that meaningful change begins when individuals feel heard, understood, valued, and supported. I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and sharing their stories.

I take a collaborative, practical, and compassionate approach, recognizing that no two individuals or life experiences are the same. I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, and other evidence-based techniques to help clients identify patterns, develop healthy coping skills, build resilience, and navigate life's challenges.

I believe therapy is more than simply talking about problems. It's about discovering strengths, gaining new perspectives, developing practical tools, and creating meaningful change. My style is warm, genuine, and down-to-earth, with a balance of encouragement, accountability, and even a little humor when appropriate.

Above all, I believe in meeting people where they are, walking alongside them through life's difficult seasons, and empowering them to recognize their own capacity for growth and healing.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting to know you! I believe that building a strong, trusting relationship is the foundation of successful therapy, so my priority is helping you feel comfortable, heard, and supported from the very beginning.

During our first session, we'll talk about what brought you to therapy, explore your background and life experiences, and discuss what you hope to gain from our time together. I'll ask questions to better understand your needs, strengths, and challenges, but there's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with.

We'll also discuss your goals for therapy and begin developing a plan that fits your unique needs. My approach is conversational, collaborative, and down-to-earth. You can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can be yourself.

You don't have to have all the answers or even know where to begin. Just come as you are, and we'll figure out the next steps together.
