Great to meet you!

You deserve to be heard. Let’s build a life you love living. If you’ve ever felt like you’re shouting into the void or just going through the motions, I want you to know something right away: Your story matters, and you deserve to be happy. I’m Nicole Derrico, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving North and South Carolina. I entered the mental health field because I wanted to be a voice for those who haven’t been heard. I believe that everyone—no matter what they’ve been through—deserves the chance to live their life to the fullest.

Therapy can feel intimidating, but my biggest strength is making people feel at ease. I’m told I build rapport quickly, so you won’t feel like you’re talking to a clinical robot. Instead, our sessions will feel relatable and deeply validating. During our virtual sessions, I'm here to walk along beside you in whatever challenges you're experiencing.

Ready to take the first step? Healing doesn't have to be a lonely process. If you’re in NC or SC and looking for a space where you can finally exhale and feel understood, I’d love to connect. Reach out today, and let’s get started on helping you feel like you again.

My approach to therapy

Therapy can feel intimidating, but my biggest strength is making people feel at ease. I’m told I build rapport quickly, so you won’t feel like you’re talking to a clinical robot. Instead, our sessions will feel relatable and deeply validating. During our virtual sessions, I'm here to walk along beside you in whatever challenges you're experiencing.I believe building a clinical relationship that is founded in trust and respect is the key to therapy success. I use a collaborative approach and utilize evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Somatic Therapy.

What you can expect from me

The first therapy session typically includes a review of the overall therapy process, gathering of Client history and background information and discussion of expectations, treatment limitations and treatment goals.
