Great to meet you!

I am a Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 22 years of experience in the healthcare field. I obtained my Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2020 and am nationally certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner. My post-master’s Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner training was completed in 2024 at Maryville University and I am nationally certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). I provide medication management and supportive therapy to those 16 years of age and older, and have experience treating conditions such as depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and more.

My approach to therapy

I am committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care that recognizes each individual's unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I believe that meaningful healing begins with feeling heard, which is why I prioritize active listening, empathy, and building trusting relationships with every patient. My approach to care is holistic, considering the emotional, physical, social, and lifestyle factors that influence mental well-being. I work collaboratively with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their values and preferences. Medication management is approached thoughtfully and comprehensively, with careful attention to effectiveness, side effects, and each person's overall health and quality of life. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel empowered to ask questions, participate in treatment decisions, and take an active role in their mental health journey. My goal is to help individuals achieve lasting wellness through evidence-based care, compassion, and a partnership built on trust and respect.

What you can expect from me

During your first appointment, I'll take the time to get to know you and gain a comprehensive understanding of your mental health needs. This includes a thorough review of your current symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, medications, family history, and any factors that may be affecting your well-being. We'll discuss your concerns, goals, and treatment preferences in a supportive, judgment-free environment. Together, we'll develop a personalized care plan that may include medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and other treatment options tailored to your individual needs.
