Nicole Gordon

My name is Nicole Gordon. I am from Pennsylvania (near the New York border), have a Master’s degree in Education, and was a high school English teacher for 9 years. I decided my passion was working with people individually to explore their strengths and work with them to overcome obstacles in their lives. I went back to school, and earned my Master’s in Social Work from Edinboro University so that I could work with people on a more personal scale. I have a teenage daughter, and two pit bulls, and they keep me quite busy! I enjoy learning, and take special interest in the ways in which trauma, substance use, mental health, and/or our perceptions affect our behavior and the world around us.

I am person-centered, able to meet clients where they are, and encourage them to disclose and share at their own pace, while respecting them as individuals with unique experiences.

My hope is that clients will feel supported, respected, appreciated and understood after our sessions together.
