Great to meet you!

“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” – Jon Kabat-Zinn

Welcome! My name is Nicole, and I’m a licensed therapist with a background in social work. I believe in the power of therapy to offer an intentional space to pause, reconnect with yourself, and begin the journey of better understanding what you have been carrying, how it may be impacting you, and how you would like to grow alongside it.

I genuinely enjoy working with people from all walks of life, whether therapy is completely new to you or something you have been a part of before.

My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative, and I deeply value the relationship we build together within the therapeutic space. I see therapy as a partnership—one where you bring your lived experience, insight, and understanding of yourself, while I bring my training, curiosity, and therapeutic skills to help us explore what is happening and where you would ultimately like to go.

I don’t believe there is one “right” path through therapy. Part of the work is discovering together what feels meaningful, what helps you better understand yourself, and what supports the changes you want to make. Wherever that path may lead, my hope is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to move through that journey in a way that feels authentic to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, relational, and collaborative, while also being direct when it feels helpful. I value creating a space where you can show up as you are, and I often bring in humor, curiosity, and openness alongside deeper reflection and exploration.

I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is an important part of the work, which means regularly checking in with one another about what is feeling helpful, what may not be landing, and what you need from our time together. I want therapy to feel like something we are actively shaping together rather than something being done to you.

My work is informed by mindfulness, nervous system regulation, attachment, and a holistic understanding of the person. Depending on what you are navigating, we may slow down and notice what is happening emotionally or within the body, explore patterns and experiences that have shaped you, challenge ways of thinking that may no longer be serving you, or focus on practical tools and changes in the present. Above all, I aim to remain responsive to you and to what feels most meaningful in the work we are doing together.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect us to spend time getting to know you as a whole person—not just the symptoms or concerns that brought you to therapy. We may explore some of your history, relationships, current environment, past experiences, and what life looks and feels like for you right now.

I approach this process conversationally and collaboratively, with plenty of room to meet you where you are that day. You do not need to have everything figured out, know exactly what you want to work on, or have the “right” answers before we begin. We are simply starting to build an understanding together.

Whether this is your first experience with therapy or you have been in therapy before, I recognize that opening up to someone new can feel vulnerable. My priority is to begin building a relationship where you can feel comfortable, supported, and able to show up as yourself while we start exploring what you would like from our work together.
