Nicole Wetzel

Hi, I’m Nicole, an LCSW-C providing trauma-informed, client-centered therapy for adults across Maryland (ages 18+). I earned my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Hood College and my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, specializing in aging and gerontology.

With over a decade of experience in human services, including 13 years in hospital settings and 8 years in the emergency department, I bring deep expertise in how chronic illness, medical comorbidities, and major life transitions impact mental health. I also specialize in supporting first responders, offering a safe, confidential space to process operational stress and daily trauma.

Therapy with me is compassionate, practical, and goal-oriented. Combining Client-Centered Care, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I act as an advocate, motivator, and partner in your growth. I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, life changes, caregiver strain, aging concerns, and first responder stress/compassion fatigue.

I provide a safe, trauma-informed space for clients to process experiences, build coping skills, and cultivate emotional resilience. My goal is to help adults and older adults navigate life’s challenges with confidence and support.
