Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Nkwachioma Nwosu, and I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (DNP, PMHNP-BC) dedicated to fostering mental health and well-being. With a passion for providing compassionate care, I specialize in serving various clients facing various mental health challenges. I obtained a bachelor’s in nursing from North Carolina Central in Durham and a master’s/doctorate in nursing from Maryville University of St. Louis.

My approach to therapy

As your PMHNP, I bring a collaborative and holistic approach to mental health. We can explore effective strategies to manage symptoms, improve coping skills, and enhance overall well-being by listening attentively and working together. I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and culturally sensitive therapeutic space where you can express yourself without judgment. Your mental health matters, and I am here to support you on your path to wellness.

What you can expect from me

In the session with me as your Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), clients can anticipate a welcoming and structured experience focused on understanding their unique concerns. The session typically involves introductions, a discussion of personal and mental health history, goal-setting, and collaborative treatment planning. We will work together to assess symptoms, formulate a treatment plan, and address any questions or concerns the client may have.
