Great to meet you!

I am a Clinical Psychologist with 18+ years of experience as a psychotherapist. I have a diverse background working with people who have presented with various forms of trauma, depression, anxiety, grief / loss, crises and relationship difficulties. I offer a safe and compassionate environment to help you explore your concerns with a focus on increasing your self-awareness, helping you build skills for stress reduction, as well as strengthening your resilience and thus improving your overall well-being.

My counseling style is a fluid mix of cognitive behavioral, relational, somatic, dynamic and mindfulness-based interventions. I believe that I can offer you a treatment approach that is individually tailored to your unique goals, strengths, needs and challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and client centered, with an aim to increase your curiosity, creativity, confidence and connection to yourself and to others in order to foster deep and sustained healing.

What you can expect from me

I acknowledge that starting something new can be frightening and change is hard, even if it is positive change. Also, it can be extremely difficult to talk to a stranger about the things that we are struggling with, so my fundamental aim is to make you feel welcome, safe and heard.

The initial session would typically be used for assessing fit, as well as for identifying treatment goals. It is usually 60 minutes long and would focus on the exploration of your present concern, that is:

~ what brings you to therapy at this time

~ what you hope to accomplish in therapy

~ identifying ways in which I can help you based on the concerns you listed
