Guiding Light Consulting (GLC) brings doctoral-level clinical expertise grounded in advanced education, clinical practice, research, and academic leadership. Dr. Norma Love-Schropshire is an award-winning Associate Professor, University Program Director, author, and researcher, with a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) from the University of St. Thomas, a Master of Social Work (MSW) specializing in Children, Youth, and Families from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSW) from Eastern Michigan University.

My approach to therapy

Clinical training in therapy, testing, evaluation, and bio-psycho-social assessment with evidenced based scientific tools such as the ADOS II includes experience with Detroit Public Schools, Michigan Medicine’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Program at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and forensic assessment training through Assured Family Services.

GLC provides compassionate therapy, evaluation / assessment for adolescents age 14 and older, adults, and older adults seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, neurodivergence, trauma, stress, emotional regulation, and relationship concerns.
