Great to meet you!

About Me:

My name is Nsemboowo Enyong, but my clients and colleagues call me Ensy. I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 20 years of experience in nursing.

My nursing journey began in surgical and pediatric care before I discovered my true passion in critical care, where I served for more than 15 years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, my experience as a critical care nurse deepened my awareness of the profound impact of mental health on patients, families, and healthcare professionals. This experience inspired me to specialize in psychiatric mental health, allowing me to support individuals in their emotional and psychological healing.

As a compassionate and solution-focused practitioner, I take pride in actively listening to my clients and providing timely, evidence-based care. I work with adults (18+) and occasionally adolescents, addressing a wide range of conditions including major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, psychosis, ADHD, mood disorders, and substance use disorders.

My approach centers on patient-focused, holistic care because everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and supported on their journey to wellness.

My approach to therapy

My Approach to Care:

My approach to care is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and active listening. I believe that healing begins when clients feel truly heard, understood, and supported. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where individuals can express themselves freely and work toward emotional and mental wellness.

Using a holistic and evidence-based approach, I incorporate both medication management and therapeutic strategies to address the whole person, not just the symptoms. I work closely with each client to develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with their needs, goals, and lifestyle.

My focus areas include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, psychosis, personality disorders, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. Whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis or ongoing challenges, my goal is to help you find balance, resilience, and a renewed sense of hope.

What you can expect from me

What Clients Can Expect from Their First Session:

In our first session, I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you can openly share your story. I’ll take the time to listen carefully to your concerns, understand your background, and learn about the goals you hope to achieve.

We’ll discuss your symptoms, personal and medical history, and how they’re affecting your daily life. Together, we’ll begin developing a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs—whether that includes therapy, medication management, or both.

My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful, with a clear understanding of your next steps and the confidence that you have a compassionate partner on your mental health journey.
