Great to meet you!

Warm greetings! I am a LCSW and earned my Masters degree at Augsburg College. I have been providing individual and group therapy for over 9 years.

I am a licensed clinical social worker licensed in Colorado, Minnesota, and Texas. Counseling has always been a part of every job I have had throughout my career. I began by working with clients in hospitals, and crisis residential facilities for a period of time. I’ve always yearned for the prospect of working with clients beyond their state of crisis and working with them to maintain stabilization in the community. I enjoy making a positive impact in the lives of my clients, and psycho-therapy allows me to have the necessary time to fully understand an individual’s biopsychosocial experience, and identify the best modality to address their needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach

A modality is chosen based on my interpretation of my clients’ areas of concern which then guides the treatment I provide to them. It is very important that my client feels confident in their case conceptualization which helps build our therapeutic alliance.

My focus

I work with clients that present with a wide variety of needs. I am most comfortable working with clients who present with many complexities from mild to moderate acuity. I do not have a client that I would not work with. However, if a client presents with a high acuity need that may require a higher level of care, I will aid them with referring them to a higher level of care. Each client's needs will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

My communication style

I have had many clients say "it's easy to talk to me", and that they feel very "understood, and seen". A client also recently stated that I "give off an aura of wanting to help people become the best version of themselves". It is very important for me to create a safe, non-judgmental, and helpful space for my clients.

What you can expect from me

My goals for you

I approach goal setting by first ensuring that me and my client fully agree on their case conceptualization and diagnostic formulation. It is important that goals meet their identified needs, and will practically allow them to make the progress they want to make within therapy.

My first session with you

A client can expect our introductory session to allow us to begin to build a therapeutic alliance. A client can expect their questions about therapy, and or my approach to be answered. There will also be a biopsychosocial assessment to be implemented in order to create a good understanding of their case conceptualization.
