Great to meet you!

Our relationships shape how we see ourselves, how we connect with others, and how we experience life. If you're struggling with anxiety, relationship problems, betrayal, trauma, or a major life change, therapy can help you better understand yourself, meet your emotional and relationship needs in healthy ways, and create lasting change.

I specialize in helping individuals and couples strengthen their relationships, heal from betrayal in all its forms (including infidelity, family, financial, institutional, and community betrayal) improve emotional and sexual intimacy, process trauma, and move through life's challenges. Together, we'll identify the patterns keeping you stuck, understand the needs beneath those patterns, and find healthier ways to meet those needs so you can experience healing, stronger relationships, and lasting growth.

I bring more than 20 years of experience in counseling, ministry, and higher education. My approach combines proven, research-based therapies with a whole-person view that considers your emotional, relational, physical, and spiritual well-being. If faith is important to you, I'm happy to include it in therapy in a way that respects your values and goals.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe to be honest, feel understood, and be challenged to grow. My style is holistic, collaborative, and open-minded because lasting change comes from both insight and action. Rather than focusing only on reducing symptoms, I help clients understand the thoughts, emotions, relationship patterns, and behaviors that keep them stuck. Together, we'll identify the emotional and relational needs beneath those patterns, learn healthy ways to meet those needs, and build practical skills you can use in everyday life. My approach draws from proven, research-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment-based therapy, Gottman Method principles, trauma-informed care, and somatic techniques, to help clients create lasting change by meeting their needs in healthier ways.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and build a strong foundation for therapy. I'll listen to your concerns, learn about your personal and relationship history, identify your strengths, and understand what you hope to achieve. Together, we'll identify the emotional and relational needs that may not be getting met, understand how those unmet needs affect your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships, and create clear, realistic goals for therapy. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and equipped with practical tools to meet your needs in healthy ways and create lasting change.
