As a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, my focus as a clinician in an outpatient clinic is to make sure each of my patients has the one-on-one opportunity of discussing their mental health needs directly with me. As someone who worked in the mental health field all through my nursing career for the past ten years, I understand the stigma associated with mental illness, and seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that first step!!!

As a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP - BC), my unique approach to providing mental and behavioral health care is rooted in a patient-centered model. I utilized evidence-based practice in making decisions regarding treatment. I educate each patient regarding the importance of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy in managing mental illnesses while allowing the patient the opportunity to participate in building their treatment plan.

I am certified in treating patients of all ages including the geriatric population. Thus, every session is unique because of the support that each client will receive directly from me. I empower each client to see their mental illness as a disease process and not their identity. I also specialized in medication management for the older population via the utilization of Gradual Dose Reduction (GDR).
