Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Oji Gibson. I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. My approach is patient-centered, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique experiences, goals, and strengths.

I am a caring provider who listens attentively to clients. I collaborate with clients to meet their needs compassionately. I encourage clients to prioritize their mental health so they can be functional members of society.

With my background in nursing and advanced practice, I understand that mental health is closely connected to overall health and well-being. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress-related concerns, and other common mental health challenges. I also have a particular interest in supporting individuals who may be navigating complex or persistent mental health symptoms.

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care includes encouraging clients to set personal goals and providing guidance to them in meeting their goals and developing lifelong skills, in addition to medication management to meet their mental health needs.

My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to participate in their treatment. I combine thoughtful psychiatric assessment, medication management when appropriate, education, and collaborative treatment planning to help clients achieve meaningful, sustainable improvements in their mental health.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming environment where they feel safe and secure sharing any feelings or concerns in a non-judgmental way. Clients will be empowered to improve their mental health needs.

Whether you are seeking support for a new concern or looking for a more personalized approach to ongoing mental health care, I strive to meet you where you are and work with you toward your goals.
