Dr. Oladunni Faminu

Hello, and welcome. I am a doctoral-prepared, dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, licensed to practice in Georgia, Arizona, Nevada and Maryland. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky, building on my earlier training as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

I offer compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care through both virtual and in-office visits to adults ages 18 to 80. My clinical focus includes Anxiety, Depression, Panic disorders, Stress and burnout, Bipolar disorder, ADHD, Sleep difficulties, and PTSD.

Alongside mental health care, I have a particular interest in sexual health and the ways it intersects mental health, relationships, medications, and overall functioning. I work with individuals facing concerns such as low or mismatched libido, erectile dysfunction, premature or delayed ejaculation, sexual or performance anxiety, orgasmic difficulties, painful intercourse, intimacy or sexual dissatisfaction, shame or trauma related to sexuality, compulsive or out-of-control sexual behavior, and sexual difficulties tied to chronic illness, disability, menopause, aging, depression, stress, relationship strain, or medication side effects. I offer a supportive, confidential, and nonjudgmental space, drawing on comprehensive assessment, patient education, and evidence-based treatment with collaboration or referral to specialized sex therapy services when appropriate.

My background as a Family Nurse Practitioner shapes a truly holistic approach, allowing me to consider both the physical and mental health factors that influence a patient's overall well-being, including their sexual health and quality of life.

My approach to providing care is holistic, patient-centered, evidence-based, and nonjudgmental. I believe effective care begins with creating a safe and confidential environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their mental health, physical health, relationships, and sexual concerns without fear of shame or judgment.

As a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, I consider the interconnected relationship between psychological, biological, relational, and social factors. When addressing sexual concerns, I recognize that difficulties with sexual functioning may be influenced by anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship dynamics, medical conditions, hormonal changes, or medication side effects. Therefore, I approach each patient as a whole person rather than focusing solely on a symptom or diagnosis.
