Great to meet you!

My professional background is centered on helping people navigate life's challenges. For nearly two decades, I have provided clinical guidance, therapeutic interventions, and supported individuals and couples in crisis. At the same time, I do believe that therapy is an important space. My faith and personal philosophy have led me to believe that each person is an expert on their experiences. My role is to bring clinical knowledge and skill to build a bridge to the life that the client wants for themselves. I also believe that my role is that of a sounding board, a coach, and a cheerleader as you reflect on the aspects of your life that are meaningful.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy emphasizes each client's personal strength and deep internal knowledge and wisdom. Each person has an innate capacity for growth and change. Self-compassion, reflection, and learning to examine and dispel negative self-talk are key components of the work we will do together. Developing the ability to recognize thoughts, feelings, and ideas that keep you from having the quality of life you want is important, as are intergenerational and personal patterns that trap you in cycles. Ultimately, my approach is to support you in creating a life where you feel seen, heard, and valued.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be a casual, but honest conversation about what matters to you. We will discuss some of the reasons you are choosing therapy at this point. Therapy should be safe and inviting, a place of reflection and warmth. In our first session I will learn what is paramount to you. You will share your goals and we will collaborate on strategies to get you there.
