Great to meet you!

Welcome, my name is Lola, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) licensed in the state of Maryland. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Morgan State University and obtained my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I specialize in working with young adults and adults who are navigating concerns such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, anger management, and relationship issues.

I offer Christian counseling for clients who desire a faith-based approach and wish to integrate their spiritual beliefs into the therapeutic process.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore your experiences openly. I believe that many of the difficulties we face in life feel overwhelming, not because we are incapable, but because we may not yet have the tools, clarity, or support we need. That is where I come in.

My warm and authentic style fosters an encouraging, introspective, and solution-focused environment. I am deeply passionate about walking alongside my clients as they gain clarity, build healthy coping skills, and move toward the healing and growth they are seeking. Change is a process, but the outcome is rewarding, and I am committed to supporting you every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, client-centered, and strength-based. I believe that therapy is most effective when we work together to identify goals, explore challenges, and develop practical tools for change. I integrate evidence-based practices while honoring your personal values, lived experiences, and cultural background.

I offer and incorporate faith and spirituality into the therapeutic process in a way that feels natural and supportive, while always respecting each person’s preferences and comfort level.

Therapy with me is a balance of support, insight-building, and practical strategies that encourage change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is focused on building rapport and creating a foundation for our work together. You can expect a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where you are free to share at your own pace. We will discuss what brought you to therapy, your presenting concerns, your goals, and any important aspects of your background that you would like me to know. The first session is about helping you feel comfortable and confident that you are in the right space.
