Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ongisa! My background as a former educator deeply shapes how I connect with and support my clients. I hold a BA in Human Communication and a master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and bring both professional expertise and real-life experience as a family-oriented person into my work. I understand the complexity of relationships, identity, and life transitions, and I strive to create a space where you feel both supported and understood.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. I believe in helping clients make meaningful progress, not just insight. I draw from modalities such as DBT, Narrative Therapy, EFT, IFS, and person-centered therapy to tailor treatment to your unique needs. I value honesty and will gently challenge patterns that may be holding you back, while also honoring your pace and readiness for change. Therapy with me is a balance of compassion and accountability.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we’ll take time to understand what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll ask questions about your background, current challenges, and goals, while also giving you space to share at your comfort level. You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where we begin building trust and clarity. By the end of the session, we’ll start identifying initial goals and a direction for our work together.
