Great to meet you!

As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a supportive and collaborative environment. Seeking mental health support can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate it alone. With over 20 years of healthcare experience, including mental health, I will partner with you to address your emotional challenges and develop individualized treatment plans that support meaningful and lasting positive change. I employ a holistic approach to treatment, incorporating a care plan that includes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. During this evaluation, your concerns, goals, and experiences will be carefully explored. I am passionate about providing patient-centered care in a non-judgmental environment, characterized by respect, empathy, and compassion. My treatment plan include psychotherapy, psycho education, and medication management when appropriate. I know you have a story to tell, and I will listen patiently to understand your situation. I believe in open communication, mutual respect, and creating a safe space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. My clinical focus includes anxiety and panic disorders, depression and mood disorders, ADHD, trauma and PTSD, and stress-related burnout. I use trauma-informed, patient-centered approaches that recognize the connection between mental and physical health and support emotional balance and resilience.

What you can expect from me

The initial session is a psychiatric evaluation and typically lasts 45–60 minutes. We will begin with brief introductions, followed by a comprehensive information-gathering process to better understand your background, concerns, and goals. Getting to know you is essential to providing individualized, client-centered care.

During the session, you can expect questions about your mental and physical health, family history, current symptoms, and the specific challenges you are experiencing. Based on this assessment, a preliminary understanding of the concern (such as a diagnosis) may be discussed. When appropriate, baseline labs, an EKG, or relevant medical records may be requested. Medication and/or therapy recommendations may also be made as part of your treatment plan.

Building a trusting, supportive, and nonjudgmental relationship is a priority. We will work collaboratively to identify your needs, set treatment goals, and develop a care plan that aligns with your objectives. Education about treatment options will be provided, and immediate concerns will be addressed.

We will also review expectations for future sessions, including appointment frequency and your role in the treatment process. Confidentiality and administrative details—such as office policies and fees—will be discussed to ensure transparency and clarity. I look forward to meeting you and working together to support your well-being.
