Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience in the mental health ajd social services field. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Saginaw Valley State University and have dedicated my career to supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families through a variety of life challenges.

My professional background is diverse and includes experience in case management, emergency services, special education within K–12 settings, and clinical mental health services. These experiences have allowed me to work with individuals across the lifespan and develop a deeper understanding of the unique challenges people face at different stages of life.

Throughout my career, I have provided individual, group, and couples counseling to children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds. I specialize in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, emotional and behavioral concerns, and gambling addiction and related disorders.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I incorporate evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and strength-based interventions. I believe that every person has unique strengths and the capacity for growth and healing.

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, navigating a difficult life transition, working through past experiences, strengthening your relationships, or seeking healthier ways to cope, I am committed to meeting you where you are and partnering with you to help you achieve your personal goals.

What you can expect from me

During the initial therapy session, the clinician will complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment by gathering relevant background information through thoughtful and collaborative inquiry. This is where our therapeutic journey begins, with an emphasis on building trust and developing a strong therapeutic rapport grounded in empathy, understanding, and respect.

Each individual will be met where they are in their mental health journey, recognizing that everyone’s experiences, needs, and readiness for change are unique. Clients are encouraged to begin considering the goals they would like to work toward while participating in therapy. Together, the clinician and client will collaboratively develop an individualized treatment plan that identifies meaningful goals and supports progress toward improved emotional well-being and overall quality of life.
