Great to meet you!

Clients describe me as warm, direct, open-minded, and nonjudgmental. They appreciate how I confront them without shaming them, and how I strike a balance between accepting and teaching. I joke that I am not a smile and nod therapist; I’m here to collaborate with you, ask the right questions, challenge you, and help you find creative, sustainable ways to move through life's challenges.

The Pamela you meet in therapy is the same Pamela you would bump into at Harris Teeter. I find the more authentically and transparently I show up as a therapist, the more my clients are inclined to do the same. It expedites the process, creates a deeply healing experience, and it just feels better.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time nerding out over tarot and astrology, cooking, hosting friends, spending "Italian Sundays" with my family, practicing yoga, relaxing at the beach, or getting messy at the stables horseback riding. As a person living with chronic illnesses—endometriosis, adenomyosis, hEDS, etc.—I spend each day learning how to find balance and harmony within my mind, body, and spirit, and find purpose in helping others do the same.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is a safe space where you get to be fully known and embraced—messy parts, endearing parts, and everything in between. I'm here to help you get to know yourself more deeply and meet yourself more compassionately through mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, somatic, and internal family systems techniques, among others. I co-create and lead treatment plans blended of modalities tailored specifically to your needs.

I specialize in helping highly sensitive people stop people pleasing and start honoring themselves. I will guide and support you in understanding and accepting yourself, and teach you holistic ways to regulate and integrate your emotions, improve your relationships, and relieve your mental and physical health by aligning your actions with who you are becoming. What you can expect from me

If you're looking for therapy that feels comforting, empowering, down-to-earth, warm, deep, and unmasked, I'd love to hear from you. Together, we'll create a space where you feel truly seen, understood, accepted, supported, and gently challenged. You don't have to figure it out alone or show up prepared. Reach out when you're ready. I'm here.
