Great to meet you!

With more than thirty-one years in the mental health field, I bring both deep experience and a genuinely warm, unconditional presence to every session. I've had the privilege of working with people at every stage of life — from children as young as three to adults in their late nineties — across settings as varied as military bases, schools, residential programs, nursing facilities, and outpatient clinics. I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees from the Indiana School of Social Work at IUPUI.

I believe every person has inherent value in this world, and I show up fully in your corner. My approach is collaborative — I work alongside you. Outside of the therapy room, I'm a proud mom of three and grandmother of five (my greatest joys), a dog and cat owner, and someone who recharges through travel, gardening, live music, and time in the outdoors. That human life informs how I connect with the people I work with.

My approach to therapy

I use evidence-based practices to help clients build genuine self-understanding and develop new ways of relating to life's challenges. My toolbox includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR techniques, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Problem-Solving Therapy, and a Strengths-Based lens — and I tailor the approach to what fits you, not a one-size-fits-all formula.

I have specialized training in trauma and PTSD, crisis intervention and debriefing, behavioral management, Reactive Attachment Disorder, and dementia care. My areas of focus include trauma at all levels of severity, women's issues, family dynamics, life transitions, and death and dying. I like to say I've collected a full bag of tools over the years — and I'll reach for the right ones with you.

What you can expect from me

From the moment we meet, my goal is simple: for you to feel that you matter and that you are not alone. Our first session is about you — your story, your needs, and what brought you here. I'll work alongside you at your pace, without judgment. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before we begin; you just have to show up.

I genuinely care about the people I work with — not as a formality, but unconditionally. Whether you're navigating a major life transition, processing deep pain, or simply searching for someone who will truly listen, I consider it a privilege to be part of your journey. My hope is that you leave that first session feeling seen, valued, and a little more hopeful about what's ahead. I love helping others and encourage them to believe in their value in this world. I work alongside you! I unconditionally care.
