am a dual board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience providing compassionate evidence based care in both emergency medicine and outpatient mental health settings. My background includes three years as an Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner where I have cared for patients with a wide range of acute medical and psychiatric conditions. I also have experience providing outpatient psychiatric care in collaboration with a community mental health clinic and a prescribing psychologist treating children adolescents adults and older adults ranging in age from 6 to over 90 years.

My approach to therapy

My clinical focus includes the evaluation and treatment of anxiety depression post traumatic stress disorder grief and loss stress related conditions and mood disorders. I also provide comprehensive ADHD evaluations and medication management for children and adolescents when appropriate. I believe mental health care should be individualized collaborative and centered on each persons unique goals strengths and life experiences.

Patients can expect a welcoming respectful and judgment free environment where they are heard valued and actively involved in decisions about their care. I take the time to understand the whole person not just their symptoms and work collaboratively to develop treatment plans that may include medication management psychotherapy education and lifestyle strategies to promote long term wellness.

My therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy supportive psychotherapy and patient centered care. I believe in helping patients develop practical coping skills improve resilience gain insight into their thoughts and behaviors and build confidence in managing lifes challenges. My goal is to create a safe supportive environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and empowered to make meaningful lasting changes.
