Great to meet you!

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over six years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life stressors. I have been practicing as a psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2018 and am also a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, which allows me to approach treatment with a whole-person perspective that considers both mental and physical health.

I earned my graduate degree from the University of Alabama and bring a culturally informed lens to my work, shaped by growing up in the Bronx and later relocating to Alabama. This background helps me connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences in a grounded, relatable way.

My clinical approach is warm, direct, and empowering. I work especially well with adults who may appear high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or emotionally stuck on the inside. Medication management visits include supportive psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and collaborative treatment planning as clinically appropriate.

I primarily serve adults seeking care for anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, stress and burnout, grief, and major life transitions. My goal is to help patients achieve stability, clarity, and confidence while building sustainable strategies for emotional regulation and long-term wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is warm, collaborative, and empowering. I prioritize building a trusting therapeutic relationship while providing clear, thoughtful guidance around diagnosis, medication options, and treatment planning. I believe in meeting patients where they are, validating their experiences, and partnering with them to develop realistic, sustainable strategies for emotional stability and growth.

Medication management visits are individualized and include supportive psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and shared decision-making as clinically appropriate. I focus on helping patients gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and feel confident in their treatment while maintaining a pace that feels supportive and respectful.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you, understanding what’s bringing you in, and identifying your goals for treatment. I’ll ask questions about your symptoms, medical and mental health history, current stressors, and any previous treatments. This is a collaborative conversation, and you’re encouraged to share at a pace that feels comfortable.

We’ll review possible diagnoses, discuss medication options if appropriate, and talk through what treatment might look like moving forward. I’ll also provide education and practical guidance to help you better understand your symptoms. You’ll leave the session with a clear plan, next steps, and the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and confident about the direction of your care.
