Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed Professional Counselor and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years' professional and clinical experience, both as a therapist and a teacher. I believe every problem has a solution, and the solution can be found. I believe in the therapeutic relationship as a powerful positive conduit to finding and enacting the solution that resolves and changes course from the problem.

My approach to therapy

I recognize that often unresolved conflicts, relationships, developmental milestones and trauma from our pasts tend to re-emerge as blocks of confusion, frustration and feeling stuck in negative patterns when faced with current blocks. We see the problem in front of us, and sometimes recognize it as a pattern. I work with clients by listening to them, seeking to understand both present and past, and helping to develop or re-acquire a sense of assertiveness, strength and confident self-acceptance to break the cycle of negative patterns address the problem at hand.

What you can expect from me

A positive, respectful and confidential relationship with a seasoned professional therapist who honestly seeks to understand and appreciate you as unique and individual, to help you and empower you to recognize that, "You can do this. You've got what it takes."
