Great to meet you!

I have been in practice in Michigan since 2018. I graduated with a BA in Psychology from Michigan State University, and an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I mainly treat clients 7 years old through 60 years old experiencing Bipolar disorders, PTSD, depressive disorders, and anxiety/panic disorders.

My approach to therapy

I operate from a client-centered, trauma-informed approach. That is to say, I view the counseling/therapy relationship as an equal partnership; myself as someone with education and experience in treating mental health challenges, and you as the world's leading expert on yourself. I am familiar with the cognitive-behavioral and psychoanalytic approaches, and I incorporate a wide variety of techniques in therapy. But you are and remain the "captain of the ship".

What you can expect from me

I will always endeavor to give each client one to two techniques to try in the interim between sessions. My goal is to help you find what works, as opposed to rigid adherence to merely one school of thought. I will bring in relevant information from all walks of human life as applicable to assist in understanding the mental health challenges clients face more fully. I believe that thorough understanding is key to relieving the burdens those mental health challenges place on clients.
