Great to meet you!

Aloha, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work from the University of Hawaiʻi (2006) and over 20 years of experience in mental health, healthcare, and crisis settings. I live and work in Hawaiʻi and provide culturally responsive, compassionate care grounded in the spirit of aloha.

My background includes medical social work and hospital leadership, supporting individuals and families through health challenges, behavioral health needs, trauma, grief, and major life transitions. I bring both professional and lived experience with parenting, relationships, crisis situations, and loss.

Clients describe me as warm, direct, and supportive. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and empowered to build resilience and create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and client-centered. I believe therapy is a partnership where we work together to understand your experiences, identify goals, and build practical tools for growth.

I use an integrative approach that may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, and supportive counseling. I meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to their individual needs, values, and cultural background.

My goal is to help you develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and improve emotional well-being in a supportive and respectful environment.

What you can expect from me

Our first session focuses on getting to know each other, discussing your concerns, and identifying your goals for therapy. I provide a warm, supportive space where you can share at your own pace and ask questions about the process.
