Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with twenty years of experience working with clients from early childhood through adulthood. I received my MSW from Hunter College of Social Work in 2006 after spending three years living and working in Paraguay as a Peace Corps Volunteer and returning to NYC to become an educator. Each client’s story is unique and deserving of respect and empathy. I have devoted my professional career to supporting others in reaching their goals and making real change. I hope to help you on that journey toward change.

My approach to therapy

The therapeutic relationship will be the foundation of our work. Your goals become my priority, and I will do my best to help you reach them through sessions that are structured around mindfulness exercises, self-assessment tools, guided exploration to help you make sense of any obstacles in your life path, and skills building assignments. My work takes a comprehensive, strengths-based, holistic approach to the systems that intersect with your life. This means we may look at ways to support your physical, occupational, environmental, spiritual, recreational, and financial health, as they may have a significant impact on mental health. I will tailor methods and modalities of practice to your unique needs. I have additional training and certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).

What you can expect from me

Together, we will create a treatment plan that will serve as a map for helping you get from your starting point to the destination of your choice. This may include helping you navigate a difficult life transition, learning how to manage anxiety, or improving your relationships with the people who matter to you. My hope is that you will leave each session with tools and ideas to move you along that map with confidence.
