Great to meet you!

I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change, regardless of their circumstances or past experiences. As a therapist, I strive to offer a compassionate, accepting, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and respected. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, and I consider it a privilege to accompany people as they work toward greater self-understanding, emotional well-being, and inner peace.

Professionally, I hold master's degrees in both counseling and religious studies, and I have been working as a therapist in for close to five years. I have counseled adults and couples dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship issues. I consider the therapy process and collaborative process, one in which we are fellow travelers.

My approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I also integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based approaches according to each client's individual needs. I believe that while we cannot always change our circumstances, we can often change our relationship with them. My goal is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, resilience, and the ability to live more intentionally and meaningfully.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get acquainted, discuss what brings you to therapy, and begin exploring what you hope to gain from the experience. My priority is to create a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere where you can share your story openly and at your own pace. There is no pressure to have everything figured out. Together, we'll begin identifying your concerns, strengths, and goals while laying the foundation for a trusting and productive therapeutic relationship.
