Great to meet you!

As a clinician and retired U.S. Marine, I have over 30 years of experience working with diverse groups in clinical, military, law enforcement, and educational settings. My expertise encompasses developing, implementing, and managing Human Services and Clinical Programs, as well as providing therapeutic and victim assistance services.

I am fascinated by human learning and development, our learning process, our ability or inability to adapt to our environment, and how mental health and substance abuse factor into our capacity to function as human beings.

I am intrigued with the interaction and relationships between the vulnerability process and environmental stressors that determine, influence, or encourage co-occurring disorders – especially with those who are impoverished or disadvantaged. That interest also includes how the proper cultural context and low self-esteem may influence the vulnerability process.

My philosophy: We are forever students of life.

As the world evolves, so must we if we are going to be effective. There are times when silence is not golden, and you must ask the hard questions to not only gain knowledge, but to understand. It’s through knowledge that we can effect change. I am committed to asking the tough questions and helping to find resolutions.

My professional experiences have been both tremendous and rewarding. I wake up every day looking forward to a new challenge. As a clinician, I face daily challenges in helping others reach their maximum potential, and I am honored to serve in this capacity.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that healing is possible and that every person possesses the inner strength and resilience to move forward — even when it doesn’t feel that way at the moment. I employ a blend of evidence-based and holistic approaches, including CBT, EMDR, psychodynamic, somatic, and narrative therapies, to support clients in reclaiming their voice, power, and peace.

Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, addiction, or depression, my goal is to walk alongside you as a guide, helping you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been buried, silenced, or overwhelmed. Together, we’ll identify what’s no longer serving you and build tools that help you move from surviving to thriving. Therapy with me is a space for transformation. You don’t have to have it all figured out; you have to be willing to begin.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a confidential, non-judgmental, and supportive space where you are listened to with care. I will create a customized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, focusing on healing, self-discovery, and personal empowerment. The first session marks the start of a collaborative journey toward growth, letting go of the past, and moving toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
