Great to meet you!

Hi I am Petya Pohlschneider, LCSW, INHC. If you have been looking for a holistic therapist, I am so glad you are here!

I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Portland State University. As a licensed psychotherapist who is also an integrative health coach, I rely on my varied experience and expansive skills to help my clients to address and overcome their mood and mental health struggles. I work mostly virtually, using my training to help you feel seen, heard, and supported, no matter where you are.

I am licensed in Oregon with 17 years of professional work experience, helping clients facing new diagnosis such as cancer, end-of-life, hospice, coping with grief and loss, anxiety and depression.

My approach to therapy

I am the founder of PETYA Wellness, which was born from my deep desire to offer people a path to happiness, better health, and lasting wellness through an integrative approach to their mental and physical health.

You can find more detailed information about me at my website at petyawellness.com.

Anxiety and depression are two of the most common challenges to our mental health, often occurring together and creating significant distress. While psychotherapy and medications are standard treatments, current evidence supports that diet plays a crucial role in psychological well-being. By integrating nutrition, mindfulness and essential oils with traditional talk therapy, we can strive for diverse microbiomes and greater mental health. Together, we can create a holistic approach to wellness that nurtures both your body and your mind.

Nutritional psychotherapy is a combination of traditional talk therapy and customized nutrition counseling plans. I incorporate mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), narrative therapy, and person-centered, solution-focused therapy. After exploring each client’s needs and goals, we apply integrative nutrition as needed. Enrich your healing modalities!

What you can expect from me

By creating a supportive space, my clients find the compassion, support, and clarity they need to embark on the road to healing. It takes a lot of strength and will power to work towards a more fulfilling and happier life. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
