Great to meet you!

I am Phylicia, a LCSW in North Carolina and a proud Tar Heel and Gamecock alum. I am passionate about serving Black college students and young adults while supporting them regarding anxiety, boundaries, stress management, and improving communication in their relationships.

I help young adults navigate the uncertainty of life transitions by offering guidance, emotional resilience, and clarity so that they can confidently step into the next chapter of their lives and create a fulfilling future.

My approach to therapy

I want to help my clients identify areas they want to grow in while also thinking of their wellness from a holistic and integrative perspective. I also take a person-centered approach to support my clients in discovering solutions and their identity. I value culture and strive for clients to feel open to be their authentic self in session. Some areas of focus I love working with are relationship or interpersonal concerns, life transitions, adjustment, identity challenges, and so much more.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to be challenged and also supported as we collaborate together to achieve their goals. My clients will be celebrated for their commitment to the process and fully heard as they share their vulnerabilities. My hope is for my clients to feel as though they accomplished the goal they set for themselves while also feeling better equipped to handle life's challenges in the future.
